How I use AI in my design process

What AI does for me: explores options fast, sorts research notes into themes, drafts first-pass copy and catches the ideas I missed.

What it doesn’t: talk to users for me, decide what to build, or know what good looks like.

AI in the product Merchant Platform

A Lowe’s vendor item card marked Recommended with a 78% completeness score

AI recommendations rank vendor items, so merchants see what to award first.

What my camera taught me about design

Off the clock I take photos, paint and play table tennis. Every photo here taught me one rule I still use on screens.

A beach hut on white sand, framed by two leaning palm trees
01 Framing

Two palm trees frame the hut, so your eye goes straight to it.

In design: cards, borders and white space frame the one thing you want people to see.

A white egret walking through green leaves
02 Contrast

A white bird on busy green. It pops because nothing else is white.

In design: one bold primary button. Everything else steps back.

Sunset behind coconut palms, with tyre tracks in the sand leading towards the sun
03 Leading lines

Tyre tracks in the sand pull your eye to the sun.

In design: layout, arrows and steps lead people to the next action.

Close up of a yellow flower with a soft green background
04 Focus

Sharp flower, soft background. You know where to look.

In design: size, weight and colour decide what people read first.

A small temple by a lake, reflected in the still water under a cloudy sky
05 Balance

The temple sits on a third and the lake mirrors it. It feels calm.

In design: a clear grid and even spacing make a busy screen easy to scan.

My painting: bare branches with snow under a full moon, all in shades of blueI painted this one
06 Limited palette

One blue in many shades, and one bright moon.

In design: a small colour set with one accent. A design system on one canvas.

07 Fast feedback

And then there is table tennis.

Read the spin, adjust, hit again. A rally is a lot of tiny tests in a row.

In design: short loops win. Test early, learn, change, and test again.

About me

I’m a senior product designer in Bengaluru. For over 10 years I’ve turned complex business processes into simple, human-centred products, from merchant tools for Lowe’s to a QuickBooks add-in at Intuit. I start with research, sketch a lot, and measure what changed.

Interested in building something together?

I wrote a little letter for you.

Dear future teammate,

I’ve spent 10+ years turning messy business processes into simple products.

I start by sitting with the people who do the work: merchants, accountants, field agents.

Then I sketch, test and measure. At Lowe’s, that cut item setup time by 90%.

I’m open to Senior / Lead Product Design roles.

If that sounds like your team, let's talk.

Thanks for reading.
